Our school is dedicated to promoting the art of perfumery, with a focus on creativity and artistic creation by working with ingredients of natural origin.
We’re not against the use of synthetic or nature-identical molecules in perfume, but this is not something we offer as part of our standard workshops and courses.
We’re also interested in exploring the relationship between scent and the world around us, literature, history, music, art, nature and science.
All our courses are taught in English and in Spanish.
Our founder and lead tutor Marina Barcenilla has been teaching natural perfumery for over a decade.
She’s an acclaimed independent perfumer and a pioneer in the world of natural fragrance. Her perfumes have received many awards, including two Fragrance Foundation Awards (FiFis), two Sustainable Luxury Awards, and several Natural Beauty accolades including Beauty Shortlist, The Green Parent and International Natural Beauty awards. She’s also one of the Academicians at the Spanish Academia del Perfume, the Spanish Institution that champions the practice, appreciation and understanding of Perfumery as a form of art.
In addition to Marina's accomplishments as a Perfumer, she's a Space Scientist with years of experience sharing her knowledge of Astronomy and making it accessible to everyone, from children as young as 7 to adults in their 80s and 90s.
With over two decades of experience as a training provider and fragrance creator behind her, you couldn’t be in better hands.
